The SECRET To Raising SMART Kids

Good article to share ;)

The Secret to Raising Smart Kids starts from the baby in the womb.
You too can raise smart kids but it requires the investment of time, effort, patience and persistence
Nothing is achieved in a day, certainly not in the raising of smart kids
It is a life time endeavor to make kids smart. Do not rely on schools.Smart kids are nurtured at home. Schools are just there to fill in the blanks in parents’ knowledge gaps.

Tips on how you can raise smart kids:

  • Introduce classical music especially brogue pieces from the time your baby is in the womb.
  • Talk to your kid, even when your baby is still in the womb.
  • Mothers, breast-feed your baby.
  • Give them a good diet especially fatty fish (omega-3 fat DHA), fruits, vegetables, whole grains and 1 minute eggs.
  • Get your kid to sleep early and at regular times.
  • Play with your kid.
  • Let your child play. Let them have fun.
  • Let your kid choose what they want to learn.
  • Read books to your kid.
  • Visit the library regularly and let your kid have their own collection of books.
  • Encourage your child to ask questions and nurture curiosity.
  • Build their self-esteem by praising them when they do something right and show them love.
  • Encourage kindness and generosity in your kid.
  • Get your kid to exercise.
  • Concentrate on your kid’s strengths and interests.
  • Let your kid make mistakes.
  • Do not add stress to your child’s life.
  • Give your kid educational toys.
  • Teach your kid the Power of Words and Numbers.
  • Don’t let your child watch TV or videos at an early age
  • Don’t give your kid computer games (even educational games) at a young age.
  • Don’t “hot house” your kid, if they are not interested.
  • Teach your child how to stay safe i.e. street-smart.
  • Teach your kid how to think positive and never give up.
  • Teach your child about goals and how they can achieve them.
  • Give them the opportunities to pursue their goals.
  • Teach your kid about delayed gratification.
  • Teach your kid about values.
  • Teach your child how to pray or to be thankful.
  • Give your kid a healthy attitude towards money. Give them an allowance.
  • Show them how they can make money.
  • Don’t spoil your kid.
  • Teach your child about healthy diets. Avoid junk food.
  • Don’t tell your kid they are smart – focus on effort.
  • Teach them how to be confident and stay motivated.
  • Teach your child responsibility.
  • If your kid has a shortcoming / disability, make it their strength.
  • Teach your kid the “I can do it myself” words.
  • Be selective of the friends your kid have.
  • Teach your child how to make good judgments.
  • Teach your kid about discipline and control.
  • Let kids express themselves through art, music and dance.

In the end, whether you have succeeded in your goal of raising smart kidsdepends on your own definition on what is a “smart kid”. Whether they arebook smart, exam smart or simply, they have a unique talent that will make you proud. Don’t let society’s values dictate your own appreciation of your kid’s talents. Grades are not everything. Neither is money or power.
We all know thatEQ (Emotional Quotient) is better than IQ (Intelligent Quotient).
Remember that great pieces of art are not valued in their artists lifetimes, and preachers are not welcomed in their own countries. Be the first one to recognize the greatness in your own child. All kids are smart if you believe them to be so.

I Love My Family

I Love My Family session

Sessi 'My Family' bermula dengan maching the world family di MY FAMILY TREE!
It's good to introduce Family Tree kepada toddlers and preschooler dalam usaha untuk mengenal salasilah keluarga kepada mereka.
Starting from top dengan 'Grandfather' dan 'Grandmother', then move down kepada family kecil iaitu mommy and daddy.

Sessi sticking and pasting is good for the kids since gerakan jari-jari kecil dalam menampal sticker 'yang kecil' itu akan melatih penggunaan 'fine motor skill' anak-anak for future 'pencil grip'.

Lil Brilliant Zara teruja men'decorate' frame menggunakan marker.

Lil Brilliant Naufal bersemangat dengan aktiviti sticking and pasting
*hingga mulut ternganga ye sayang *

Mommy helping Lil Brilliant Aisy in decorating the frame
Thanks Aisy for the lolipop!

Eh Lil Naufal, tiup apa tu sayang?
